Ready To Live Our Lives

Ready to move on

still taking it day by day

heading towards the great unknown

but this time unafraid.

I've had my share of times

and visited too many graves

and rambled around aimlessly

looking for my own way.

Now it has arrived.

Now I found a place.

Now I think that I can carve

a life with what remains.

Ready to go inside

from standing out in the rain

time to leave behind the tears

and forgive all the pain.

So this will be the time

this will mark the place

where I stepped past the line

into what we make.

Our lives.

Now it has arrived.

Now we found a place.

Now we can begin again

and go at our own pace.

Ready to live our lives...

Hey John, nice--sounds like a song. I like the drawing a line in the sand idea. We all need a rite of passage. Congratulations Bud, I'm happy to see you happy. =:)

Thanks Winsome. It is sort of a song. I want to write more hubs like reviews, stories, articles, etc. but I keep pumping out the poems. It's odd cause I don't generally like to read poems but I like to write them. I miss Rawlus and his poems though. Wish that guy would come back to Hubpages. But always glad to hear your opinion and well wishing!

Your poetry is the window of your soul. Thanks for letting the rest of us peak inside, the view is awesome.

Wonderful words and it sounds like, a good new path for you. Also, I loves me some Kaiser Chiefs!

Ben
